There comes a time when seniors are no longer active in their daily lives. This is not good for their well-being since they could have isolation stress, depression related issues, and physical weakness. Just like the young, seniors need to engage in activities that will challenge their minds. This is not only about mental exercise but when they are with other people, they will feel better socially. Reading increases our knowledge. It is the same case with the elderly. It is an excellent way to eliminate that feeling of solitude. They should read books and retell the stories to other seniors or even the little ones. Besides increasing social participation, this also enhances cognitive and memory skills. The vocabularies that have been lost will start coming back.

Bodies become rigid due to inactivity and it is worse in old age. Engaging in sports activities such as swimming and dancing is a great way to boost health. Activities that engage them physically will strengthen their core muscles and reduce the chances of dealing with heart diseases. When their muscles are stronger, it reduces one of the most common risks in old age which is osteoporosis.

Seniors are required to take more care of their physical, internal and mental health. They are vulnerable to numerous health issues such as osteoporosis, dementia, heart problems and poor posture. Although age cannot be reversed, they can engage in activities that will boost their well-being. They will also have a chance to interact with other people.
